The Red Switch - PWM vs VR

If you haven’t already then you might encounter the mysterious red switch on our Harpo 5-In-1 Dimmable LED drivers. If you find yourself puzzled with what to do then have no fear we will explain all. 

Our Harpo drivers have the ability operate at two different dimming modes, VR (Voltage Reduce) and PWM (Pulse Width Modulation).

The switch should be set to VR as default as this mode can offer step less dimming and better protect the life of the LED. It is suggested you only switch to PWM mode if you have any compatibility issues with your LED as some older LEDs are only suitable for PWM dimming.

Voltage Reduce mode: 100%-0.01% dimmable range, step less dimming, flicker free

PWM mode: 100%-0.01% dimmable range, flicker free
